When I first started holding a camera, I thought photography meant telling people exactly where to stand and how to smile. It took me years to realize that the moments people actually treasure are the ones in between the poses—the quiet jokes, the wind-blown hair, and the effortless warmth of just being together.
Today, my work is entirely about letting go of the rigid setup. We go for a walk in the late afternoon sun, I stay quiet when the light hits just right, and you get tangible memories that feel completely like you.
